Dr. Massimo Puccetti graduated from the Veterinary School of Perugia in 1998 and he worked in the next 8 years in the Equine Hospital of the same. During this period he achieved the Phd in Orthopedics of Domestic Animals in cooperation with Prof. J.M. Denoix .
Since 1998 he advanced his practice on equine medicine, with special focus on orthopedic pathologies of the sport horse especially in endurance discipline, attending several key international events both as Team Vet and Treating Vet.
He participated as speaker in several national and international Horse Medicine conferences, and he attended as instructor courses of orthopaedic ultrasound supervised by Dr. Valeria Busoni, DVM PhD ECVDI ( University of Liege, Belgium) and Prof. J.M. Denoix (University of Maison Alfort, France).
Since 2007 he works during the racing season in Dubai (UAE) as Associate Veterinarian at the Dubai Equine Hospital. His daily work is mainly focused in lameness and orthopedics in endurance horses (he’s in charge of a group of more then 600 endurance horses in training) and he also performs diagnostic ultrasounds in referred cases.
During the Dubai off season he works in Europe as equine orthopedic specialist in referred cases and as Treating Veterinarian during international endurance events.
